A Response to the Nurse Who Has the “Perfect Solution” for Parents Who Don’t Want to Vaccinate Their Kids

A Response to the Nurse Who Has the Perfect Solution for Parents Who Don't Want to Vaccinate Their Kids - LivingWhole.org

A few days ago, Megan Doodle (a nurse) wrote a post on Facebook to parents who do not vaccinate their kids — for the sake of flu season and all. In it, she claimed that parents should have the right to believe what they believe, but that if they don’t vaccinate, they shouldn’t be allowed to take their kids to the hospital when they are sick; that it’s pure conspiracy to think that pharmaceutical companies are out for profit; and that it’s insanity to think that the scientific medical community has been duped … because let’s face it … this never happens.

I try to avoid nonsense like this, but I feel it important to correct the misconceptions so that we don’t have people walking around using their “science” degrees as excuses to misinform the masses. Allow me to “lovingly” address this post piece by piece, so that you have an educated response to share with your friends:

#1. “Parents who don’t want to vaccinate should have the freedom to do so, but if they think ‘Big Pharma’ is just trying to profit or poison us all … they should not be allowed to go to a doctor or hospital when they are sick for treatment.”

Let’s talk facts for a minute, shall we? They say that there are no such thing as absolutes, but Big Pharma is “absolutely” a for-profit entity.

[A for-profit entity is a] business or other organizationwhose primary goal is making money (a profit), as opposed to a nonprofit organization which focuses a goal such as helping the community and is concerned with money only as much as necessary to keep the organization operating.

There’s no question that making money is the end goal of the pharmaceutical companies who make our beloved vaccines. Money is their bottom line, their bread and butter, and what allows them to ignore the millions (Yes, I said millions.) of children injured by their products.

It really doesn’t take a degree to figure this out. You can view their goals, objectives, the stock market, and tax information online. You can review the endless list of lawsuits filed on behalf of people injured in the pursuit of making a buck — lawsuits for things like failure to disclose safety data, fraud, poor manufacturing practices, and wrongful death (to name a few). You can see how many billions of dollars have been paid out to parents of vaccine injured children, and you can simply look at their long and clouded history of price gouging drugs, marketing deception, and habit of buying physicians and politicians.

As ProPublica reports, over the last few years alone pharmaceutical companies have paid the Justice Dept. more than $13 billion to settle allegations of illegal marketing practices. [They’ve paid doctors, universities, and politicians even more to promote their agendas.]

Hello, take a look around at the opioid crisis? WHO do you think started that? Magical unicorns and immigrants from Mexico? No … it was the pharmaceutical companies and the “scientific medical community” that dumped these pills into our communities. “That’s right.”

In the late 90’s, Big Pharma reassured the medical community that patients would not become addicted to their opioids … and they were wrong. Now we have more than 115 people dying each day, we spend $78 billion dollars each year on what has become a full-blown epidemic, and the FDA just approved a painkiller 1,000 times more potent than morphine. And hey, remember that one time Big Pharma price hiked the price EpiPens by 500% and HIV medications by 5,000%? I’m sure they did that for the good of the people who needed these medications, right?

Wake up. Vaccines are currently a 36 billion dollar industry. By the year 2020, vaccines are projected to be a $50 BILLION dollar industry. Vaccines are the highest profit margin drug on the market. So yes, they are out to make a profit at the expense of the people, and if you can’t see that, then you’ve become blinded by your credentials and the propaganda has clouded your thinking.

#2. Nobody has the right (medical degree or not) to dictate who is and is not qualified to receive medical care. If you think otherwise, then you should immediately step down from your profession.

Ms. Doodle stated in her post that if someone wasn’t going to vaccinate their child, then they shouldn’t be able to get EpiPens for their child’s anaphylaxis (probably caused by vaccines), inhalers for asthma (probably caused by vaccines), chemo drugs for cancer, or medicine and procedures brought on by a heart attack.

First of all, this type of thinking is incredibly dangerous. What if a doctor refused to operate on a heart because the man got blocked arteries from his awful diet? What if diabetes medications were withheld from people who didn’t put down the donuts first? What if treatment was refused because a patient decided to utilize a different drug than what was recommended? According to the United States Constitution which you ascribe to because you choose to live in this country, you have no right to tell another person what to do with their body or another parent what to do with their children.

Secondly, the data shows that unvaccinated children are healthier and have a lower incidence of chronic disease than vaccinated children. They require less medical care, prescription medications, and antibiotics, have lower incidences of ear infections, seizures, autism, neurodevelopment disorders, eczema, and ADHD, and have more robust immune systems.

Modern medicine certainly has its place and nobody is arguing that, but you’re talking about treating a condition that already exists verses assaulting a perfectly good immune system with something that could compromise it. There’s a huge difference.

Science must be allowed to evolve and be challenged … by anyone. If you believe otherwise, then you should go back to the days where the Earth was believed to be flat, where Galileo was considered a heretic, and physicians thought it was pure quackery that they needed to wash their hands. If you work in the medical profession, it is not your job to judge a patient based on your own subjective beliefs. It is your job to provide medical care. Period.

#3. Parents who don’t vaccinate hate modern medicine.

It is flat-out false that parents who don’t vaccinate have an aversion to modern medicine. Allow me to (once again) educate you: Parents who don’t vaccinate opt out because they only believe in sound medicine that has been proven to be safe or effective. Vaccines have not been proven to be safe and effective and fail to meet the standards for evidenced-based medicine. It’s really THAT simple. If you think I’m wrong, take a look at the vaccine package inserts and tell me what type of “placebo” is used in their “studies.” If you think vaccines are effective, please provide the name of one vaccine that provides lifetime immunity. (Hint: There isn’t one.)

There’s a reason why it’s the most educated part of our population not vaccinating their children, and it’s not because we’re stupid. It’s because we have the ability to critically think, independently consider all aspects of an issue, and we want medicine to be better.

#4. “Medical professionals would never administer anything to anyone, especially a child, that would intentionally harm them.”

Are you kidding me? Medical professionals administer harmful substances to children all the time. There are 7,213,599 children on psychiatric medications in this country. There are 3,655,472 children on ADHD medications, 2,100,315 children on anti depressants, 1,194,805 children on antipsychotics, 1,445,509 children on anti-anxiety meds, and 1 in 4 children have a chronic disease … on the rise in large part due to the vaccinations by which you hail.

I for one, don’t believe that most physicians are outright malicious, but it is shown that these drugs are being prescribed because psychiatrists are too busy to do therapy, because doctors are too pressed by government regulations, because they’re bought, and because they simply are not adequately trained to recognize the effects and harms of what they’re prescribing and/or injecting.

If you don’t believe that vaccines cause harm, then you were not adequately trained on being able to recognize a vaccine adverse reaction, and that … is a problem.

Speaking of awful “scientific medical recommendations,” remember when people had their hemorrhoids burned by hot irons, their blood let by leaches, their conditions treated with heavy metals, parts of their brains removed, took up smoking for good health, consumed copious amounts of sugar because of poor nutrition advice, had deformed babies due to x-rays and thalidomide, were damaged by Vioxx, got polio from the vaccines, got cancer from hormone therapy, got Autism from the DPT vaccine, and suffered and/or died at the hands of Accutane, Darvocet, Quaalude, Raplon, Selacryn, Zelmid, and numerous other medicationsthat were approved and then recalled? All of these medications and or treatments were once recommended by the scientific and or medical communities.

We could talk at length about medical advancements and achievements, but we could also talk for years about the failures of the scientific medical community and the fact that MEDICAL ERRORS (i.e. errors made by the medical professionals we are not supposed to question) are the third leading cause of death in this country. Do you know what happens when people don’t question? History repeats itself.

#5. “I take even more offense to anyone that would imply that a college educated professional, like myself, is incapable of ‘doing the research,’” Doodle wrote.

Based on the logic above (or lack thereof), I should be offended that I, a college educated professional with a doctorate level degree am supposedly incapable of doing my own research, and even more offended that I, as a parent, would not do what is in the absolute best interests of my child.

Simply put, the decision of whether or not to vaccinate has nothing to do with you or anyone else. It has to do with us and our children, and just because you have a college degree doesn’t usurp our right to have an informed opinion either, or to question your “research.” In fact, many of us have college degrees of our own and/or understand the lack of education and/or biased manner in which medical professionals are taught about vaccines.

Many of these parents you’re offended by are medical doctors and nurses, just like you. Many of these parents have worked for pharmaceutical companies, have been educated by first-hand experience with court cases and politics, and have vaccine-injured children. What’s offensive, is the view that one can’t hold an opinion because it offends yours, and that you think someone should be deprived of all forms of medical care because they opt out of a procedure that you wouldn’t opt out of. If you cannot withstand the scrutiny of being questioned and you cannot respect the choices of your patients, then you should not be in your profession.

#6. “Children who are too young to be vaccinated and the immunocompromised are put at risk by the unvaccinated.”

Vaccine 101: This is a perfect example of why we should never just take someone’s “research” for it. Infants are at risk of getting diseases they were once protected from because mothers aren’t acquiring these mild temporary illnesses as children and thus, have no protective immunity to pass on to their infants for their first year of life. All you have to do is have a basic understanding of immunity and to take a little time to go back through the data to see which age sectors of the population had measles pre-vaccine, and which sectors of the population are experiencing outbreaks now.

In fact, the adult population is also more at risk of getting these illnesses because their temporary junk immunity they got (if any) from their vaccines wears off, subjecting them to a potentially more severe form of the illness as an adult.

Secondly, the immunocompromised can be vaccinated and those who can’t, cannot be around recently vaccinated children either because they shed their viruses, vaccinated children who get sick as a result of their vaccines, all adults (because let’s face it, most of us no longer have immunity), and any child whose vaccine didn’t work (which is impossible to know). There’s a reason why children who have been recently vaccinated with the chicken pox vaccine aren’t allowed in the cancer ward, ya know?

#7. You should (not) vaccinate to protect someone else.

This may sound a bit harsh, but my responsibility as a mother is first and foremost to my child. I will not make them a scapegoat for a medical procedure that could kill them or leave them seriously disabled, and I would never expect you to do that for mine. What mother would? I will also not vaccinate my child with a vaccine that could shed onto an immunocompromised person and seriously harm them, nor will I shoot up my child’s body with carcinogens, aborted baby DNA, tissues, and cells, hazardous wastes, or heavy metals. It’s just not going to happen.

You should only vaccinate if you feel that vaccines are safe or effective, you believe that is what is best for your child, and you’ve done your own research in coming to that conclusion. You should not vaccinate because you’re manipulated into doing it for the benefit of someone else, when it doesn’t even benefit them anyway. You are the one as the parent who has to spend the rest of your life taking care of your child should they become vaccine-injured … not the nurse or physician pressuring you into making that decision, and certainly not the pharmaceutical company.

__________

Dear parents, I urge you not to check your brains at the door because someone else did their research for you. I urge you to continue to educate yourself, inform others, stand for what you believe in, and make the decision that you feel is best for you and your family. I also urge you to avoid any medical practice, practitioner, or hospital that doesn’t value the opinions and beliefs you hold. We simply shouldn’t tolerate anything less.
