Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said that a biometric exit system will begin to be implemented at airports across the United States by 2018.

NEW YORK (Sputnik) — A biometric exit system will begin to be implemented at airports across the United States by 2018, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said during a speech at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, DC.

“For years Congress and others have urged us to develop a system of biometric exit,” Johnson stated on Thursday. “I have directed CBP (Customs and Border Protection) to begin implementing the system, starting at airports, in 2018.”

A system of biometric exit involves taking the fingerprints or other biometric data of those who leave the country. According to Johnson, CBP has begun testing technologies that can be deployed nationwide.

US Must Implement Biometric System to Prevent Visa Abuse by Terrorists

The system, which was originally slated for a 2016 rollout, will be paid for by $1 billion in fee increases over a period of ten years.

Earlier this month, House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul said a biometric system is imperative to prevent visa abuse by terrorists.

The Department of Homeland Security reported to Congress in January that there are hundreds of thousands of individuals in the United States who entered the country legally, but overstayed their visa.

  1. US Must Implement Biometric System to Prevent Visa Abuse by Terroists:
“hundreds of thousands of individuals in USA who enter illegally & overstay their visa”
Is this about money – like everything else it will end up costing more than they could ever make on a billion years of fees.
WHY ARE THEY REALLY DOING THIS
WHAT ARE THEY REALLY AFRAID OF …. the USA defense forces are not sufficient to protect USA SOIL should an enemy strike.
And God also know that the whole is pissed at the USA for the 2008 GFC – where Wall Street sent the Global Economy to hell.
Or, are they seeking to take total control of the lucrative people trafficking industry run by Trans-National Organized Crime Syndicates – and reap the rewards thereof.
By their own admission ” 100.000’s of 1.000’s of INDIVIDUALS enter the USA illegally – someone is making a killing – and it dosen’t seem to be the establishment of the USA
    Greed is Good !

  2. You must remind yourself that these people are not very bright – they actually do believe the fairy story of the magic silver bullet will save them from the werewolf, as true.
As does the Vatican believe in the evil eye – Xmas Mass broadcast on the idiot box – the last pope – he wore a broach in the center of his chest & another one on the front of his left shoulder – 2 big broaches with a massive blue stone in each – to ward off the evil eye.
Imagine – these persons do not travel, but with a full staff, which includes the witch & witchdoctor.
