Breaking: Pompeo Touts “Smooth Transition” To Second Trump Administration

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo agreed that there will indeed be a smooth White House transition — to a second term for President Trump.

When asked Tuesday by the press if the State Department was prepared to engage with the Biden transition team, Pompeo dismissed that notion, saying Trump will ultimately prevail when all legal ballots are counted.

“There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration,” Pompeo said.

“We’re ready. The world is watching what’s taking place. We’re going to count all the votes, when the process is complete there will be electors selected. There’s a process. The Constitution lays it out pretty clearly.”

A triggered reporter followed up, asking: “So you believe there’s widespread voter fraud? That the reports we’re getting from Pennsylvania, from Michigan, showing vote totals in massive leads, or significant leads with 99% reporting are going to be overturned and the United States failed to conduct a fraudulent-free election?”

“I’m very confident that we will count – and we must count – every legal vote,” Pompeo replied. “We must make sure that any vote that wasn’t lawful will not be counted. That dilutes your vote if it’s done improperly. We got to get it right and when we get it right, we’ll get it right. We’re in good shape.”

The confused reporter then asked, “Should foreign leaders not be calling President-elect Biden?” before another reporter cut him off.
