“Everything is a Lie:” Massive Investigation Levels Historic Accusations Against Coca Cola’s Biggest Dairy Franchise

Even though Coca Cola claims it has a “progressive stance on animal welfare,” a recent undercover investigation of one of the largest U.S. Dairy Farm Fair Oaks in Fair Oaks, Indiana painted a horrifying picture. Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) spent three months collecting information and getting footage showing one of the worst and the most consistent animal abuse situations they have seen yet. Calves are seen and reported beaten in every way possible, burned, inflicted pain, and undergo other suffering.

In some cases it leads to permanent injuries or death.

Alleged Abuse Inside Fair Oaks Farms

The dairy line made from Fair Farms milk called Fairlife is a Coca Cola product.

The Fairlife website omits any statement about their stance on animal abuse, instead under “animal care FAQ” they spend the time focusing on trying to persuade the consumers that Monsanto’s artificial growth hormones or rBST are “safe for cows and humans.” They still choose not to use it due to public opinion on using this artificial hormone.

(According to Organic Consumers, rBST is a GMO drug developed by Monsanto to artificially increase milk production).

The Fair Oaks Farms’ website advertises itself as a fun, sustainable, safe and family-friendly place where animals are happy and healthy. The footage made from the investigation tells a different story.

ARM says it is the biggest investigation of all time.

“In 10 years of being undercover, we have never seen such consistent, constant abuse,” Couto says.

While there is a claim that male calves are not sent to veal farms, ARM investigators followed trucks who did exactly that. They took the male calves to MidWest Veal.

The rest of the cows also endured a sad fate. Daily life includes being kicked, punched, pushed, slapped, stabbed with steel bars, hit in the face and burned in the face with hot branding irons, denied food, and subjected to and dying from extreme temperatures. No medical attention is given.

All calves at some point endure extreme pain and suffering.

“The calf abuse is by far the worst baby abuse we’ve have seen ever, undercover, in any investigation around the world,” Couto says.

“Nothing is worse than Fair Oaks Farms….This isn’t one or two bad apples. This is everyone at Fair Oaks Farms that we had contact with.”

Workers at the farms seem to show zero concern for the animals. Video footage shows calves thrown into trucks, pulled by the tail, severely hit on the head with milk bottles, kicked in the face, stepped on, dragged by the neck or back legs and lose their voices screaming likely out of pain.

Additionally, the farm employees were found using illegal drugs beyond marijuana.

When an ARM investigator pretended to be a new worker at ARM and received “training,” the only major rule they were told was “make sure you take the back road when you have dead calves in your transport. Do you understand?”

That way the tourists do not see it, instead they see a happy lie, according tot he investigation by ARM.

The organization reached out to stores where Fairlife is sold like Walmart and Target and are awaiting their comment. A few retailers like Jewel-Osco from Illinois have already pulled Fairlife off the shelves.

As far as the Fair Oaks Farms response, they have said that the employees seen in the footage have been fired, according to NBC. Meanwhile, Coca Cola stated that Fair Oaks Farms is 1 out of 30 of Fairlife suppliers, and they are talking with the farm about the issue.

  1. It just goes on & on & on ….
I remember a friend telling me about her brother in law who was a cattle farmer in NSW who left his cattle without water in summer.
It is not just the farm factories, it is a particular type of personality that gravitates to environments that derive this kind of pleasure for them.
SHUT THEM DOWN IS EXACTLY THE ONLY THING TO DO.

  2. On Thursday, at 2:45 pm I have an appointment at St Vincents Hospital to attend Pacemaker Clinic.
Last week I rang to confirm the appointment 7 was told all was good to go.
Today, after lunch I received a phone call from Pacemaker Clinic & the receptionist asked me if I had a referral.
I was not told that I need a referral.
I cannot go to my doctor or anywhere without a carer at this point in time, I cannot see straight, I cannot walk safely, I am disorientated & cannot see steps, I cannot judge distance well, it is impossible for me to get a referral & to get a carer I have to give a weeks notice.
“Can I come without one?” I asked.
She Replied with a definite NO.

My friends & I asked around online & discovered that …
AT ST. VINCENT’S HOSPITAL NO ONE NEEDS A REFERRAL TO ATTEND PACEMAKER CLINIC
& WHAT IS MORE, THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT
    PEOPLE JUST ROCK UP –
THOUGH YOU DO HAVE TO WAIT YOUR TURN.
THE SAME APPLIED FOR SPECIAL CLINIC WHICH IS CARDIO ALSO.

AM I BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ??
    I am almost totally blind
    I cannot walk & need a wheelchair
I have a serious heart condition
    I need a carer
I have been told by the registrar at St Vincent’s Hospital that I am inoperable which means that I have 2-5 years to live & that if they were to attempt to put me on the heart lung machine to attempt surgery I would die instantly.
And today I was denied an appointment to have my pacemaker checked because of WHAT ??

  3. THE LAST TIME i WAS SHAFTED LIKE THIS i WROTE TO MY LOCAL FEDERAL MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT & A REPRESENTATIVE OF HE ATTENDED ST VINCENT’S HOSPITAL & THEIR FUNDING WAS CUT.
I doubt they were told it was I who complained – hey.
This time I will also cc the Prime Minister of Australia in on the complaint
We need to know where our hard earned tax dollars are being shunted to –
I nearly fell off my chair yesterday when my corporate son Andrew told me how much tax he pays.
Money being squandered – or worse by GOD LIKE figures of the medical profession in our PUBLIC HOSPITALS

  4. Dear God Of All Things At St Vinnies Hospital
Thank you For Coming To The Phone Today
I Do Hope That Your Private Clinic Has Not Been Funded With Taxpayer Monies
In The Pretext That The Monies Were Spent On & In The Hospital System & The Service of Patients.
We Will Ask For An Audit Of The Hospital Spending & a Stock Take To Make Sure That Everything Is Accounted For.
Dear, Dear God of all things a prison term could be at your doorstep.

  5. Yep, seen it all, I refuse to work on farms where animal welfare is not the first thing on their list. I have walked away from jobs, because of animal welfare issues, particularly the young. I’ve seen some pretty bad calf rearing practices! I was brought up having a dad that expected 100% survival rate, so my standard is pretty high! I often think, if they can treat animals that way how do they treat humans. The bigger they get the worse they are in my experience, but also you have small farmers that should not have animals either. A number round here! Love to go back dairying here in my local area in NSW but probably only 2 or 3 I would class as close to my dad’s standard. Next doors young fellow chased cattle over a cliff and killed one cow!!! That family should have a dairy farm IMHO! Tis the third gen, the old fella was a good old bloke, son thinking himself someone and then the next two need to complete get out of the dairy industry!!
I judge a person on how they treat/interact with animals!
