The Australian’s – News Corp’s conflicts of interest in vaccination reporting

please see below the contents of my email to Christopher Dore, Editor-in-Chief of The Australian, challenging lack of disclosure of News Corp’s conflicts of interest in regards to vaccination policy and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. This is relevant to the overbearing influence of oligarchs such as the Murdochs and Gates on international vaccination policy. The original email is also accessible via this link, please feel free to share with others: https://bit.ly/3g2gHHi

For the attention of:
Mr Christopher Dore
Editor-in-Chief of The Australian
News Corp Australia
Dear Mr Dore

The Australian is not disclosing its conflicts of interest in articles relevant to vaccination policy, i.e. that News Corp (along with Foxtel) is a corporate partner of the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), the Infection and Immunity section of which has a “major focus on developing new vaccines” and is involved in vaccine projects relevant to COVID-19.

As you are no doubt aware, Rupert Murdoch’s mother Dame Elisabeth Murdoch supported the founding of the original institute, and Sarah Murdoch is a MCRI Board director, and Ambassador for MCRI.
Mr Dore, News Corp tabloids were instrumental in the enactment of the Federal Government’s coercive vaccination No Jab, No Pay law, and subsequent State Governments’ coercive vaccination No Jab, No Play laws, as newspapers such as The Daily Telegraph, The Courier Mail etc engaged in a ‘No Jab, No Play’ campaign for years, and the No Jab, No Pay bill was raised while Scott Morrison was Minister for Social Services. Did Rupert Murdoch personally lobby Mr Morrison on coercive vaccination policy? I have raised this matter directly with Mr Morrison, see my email titled Conflicts of interest influencing Australia’s vaccination policy – Murdoch media/News Corp (19 December 2019.)
News Corp newspapers tag people questioning vaccination as ‘anti-vaxxers’, and often censor comments of readers questioning matters relevant to taxpayer-funded vaccination policy. For example, today I tried to submit comments on a number of articles relevant to the current ‘race’ for a coronavirus vaccine, but these were not published. My comments were not offensive in any way, and sought to provide an alternative perspective to the conversation, one which is often stifled in Australia by corporate media such as News Corp, and even the taxpayer-funded ABC and SBS.

I have now submitted an edited version of my comment on Top adviser to Scott Morrison backs ‘no jab, no play’ for all as a ‘Letter to the Editor’ of The Australian, i.e.:

Jane Halton, compulsory vaccination, and conflicts of interest…

Jane Halton is Chair of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovation (CEPI), an organisation which works with the vaccine industry and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and others, so she has a massive conflict of interest in promoting compulsory COVID-19 vaccination. (“Top adviser to Scott Morrison backs ‘no jab, no play’ for all“, 18/5.)

The Australian government also funds CEPI, and it’s concerning our government is associated with this push for compulsory coronavirus vaccination.

Billions of taxpayers’ dollars are being thrown into the international ‘race for the vaccine’ – is this more about pharmaceutical companies and governments seeking to develop lucrative vaccine markets, and medical tyranny over mass populations?

I question whether it’s ethical to pursue coronavirus vaccine products. Most people aren’t affected too adversely by this disease, particularly the young. Is it ethical to compel people to have a potentially annual medical intervention/vaccination, thereby intending to make people dependent on the vaccine industry and deliberately inhibit natural immunity?

Efforts should be focused on finding out why the elderly are apparently so much more adversely affected by this coronavirus, and finding effective treatments for this disease, it’s wrong to seek to foist a very questionable vaccine product on billions of people.

CEPI Chair Jane Halton was also provided with a soapbox to promote her coronavirus vaccination agenda at the National Press Club yesterday, hosted by the ABC’s Sabra Lane. Jane Halton is in a very influential position as she is also one of Australia’s National COVID-19 Co-ordination Commissioners, and thereby potentially influential on Australia’s vaccination policy via the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Mr Dore, The Australian newspaper and other News Corp publications must provide balanced reporting on matters relevant to taxpayer-funded vaccination policy. There is certainly a massive amount of self-serving bias to make up for in years gone by…

In the interests of transparency and accountability, News Corp newspapers must clearly disclose News Corp’s conflicts of interest on articles relevant to taxpayer-funded vaccination policy, e.g. its corporate partnership with the vaccine-developing Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
It’s time the motives of supposedly ‘philanthropic’ organisations such as the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation were subjected to scrutiny.
I request your response on this matter.

Sincerely
Elizabeth Hart
