Unbelievable: Sydney school permits Muslim students to refuse handshakes with women

imgres

Let’s try this experiment in Saudi Arabia, shall we? Christian students refuse to pray to Allah because it is not part of their culture. I wonder how long they would last…
Not here in dhimmified Sydney, where we must kowtow to misogynistic Islamic sharia law in order to avoid being called RACIST:

A public school in Sydney’s west has adopted a policy permitting Muslim male students to decline to shake hands with females, despite the practice having been denounced by many senior Islamic figures.

The Hurstville Boys Campus of Georges River College in Sydney recently hosted an awards ceremony at which female presenters, including several accomplished and respected members of the local community, were told by one of the school’s two principals that some students would not shake their hands because of their Muslim faith.

The instruction is understood to derive from an Islamic hadith — a report describing the words, actions, or habits of the Islamic prophet Mohammed — stating that “it is better to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle than to touch the hand of a woman who is not permissible to you”.

The NSW Education Department has confirmed the school had an “agreed protocol” regarding handshaking and Muslim students.

Personally, I don’t give a f**k about any idiotic ‘protocol’ and think that Muslim students in Australia should be taught what Australian customs and manners require. End of story.

  1. not permissibly – not permitted / not allowed / not acceptable / not legitimate / not legal.

    Australian Human Rights Commission ..
The Sex Discrimination Act 1984 .. gives effect to Australia’s obligation under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women …

    HOWEVER ..
    Sex Discrimination Act 1984 .. Section 37
    Religious Bodies.
1, (d) any other act or practice of a body established for religious purposes, being an act or practice that conforms to the doctrines, tenets or beliefs of that religion or is necessary to avoid injury to the religious sustainability of adherents of that religion.

Well that’s it folks .. the Muslim boys are well within their rights, according to the laws of Australia.

    The Huffington Post.
Behavior that denigrates women is prevalent throughout the world. Women are wives, co-workers, sisters, mothers, friends, daughters & over half the population, & most of these women will be disrespected for simply being women. Too many institutions & countries support systems that disrespect women through neglect, exclusion & indignity; they restrict & disregard women.

I personally stopped shaking hands with anyone a long time ago .. it is a risky habit .. a case of diarrhea & /or vomiting, or worse is not my idea of a nice time.

From time to time I worked in the hospitality industry .. to my astonishment I discover that many people do not wash their hands after visiting the toilet ..
    * people who cook food for others
    * people who serve food & drinks for others
    * people who handle pizza dough & make your pizza

Also some my 5 children’s friends who stayed for dinner or slept over .. who came from a family where washing their hands was not seen as important.
We take too many thing for granted here in Australia. We need to realize that not everyone is the same, that not everyone has the same values.

Shaking hands is almost a filthy habit.

I was taught to wash my hands after handling money, after visiting the toilet, before I came to the table & / or handled food. regardless of where I had been moments before.
I would be cautious as to who’s hand I shook .. and especially a child .. you have no idea where it has been & what manner of hygiene they practice.

  2. The Medical Profession is notoriously unhygienic.
At the eye clinic it is compulsory practice to wipe the lenses of the gadgets with which they test your eyes & examine your eyes.
At my local eye clinic .. on 3 separate occasions I got a nasty eye infection which a trip to the GP & antibiotics .. It is habitual laziness & the staff are constantly reminded due to patient complaints.
The GP is a notoriously lazy, filthy thing .. they do not wash their hands after examining other / each SICK patients & while the bulk instruments are sterilized or disposable .. not so all the instruments.
