Asbestos found in imported children’s crayons marked with Dora the Explorer and Peppa Pig

ASBESTOS has been discovered in children’s crayons adorned with popular animated characters Peppa Pig, Dora the Explorer and Mickey Mouse.
Authorities have confirmed that six different lines of imported wax crayons have tested positive for traces of asbestos.
Stores selling the contaminated products have been asked to pull them from shelves and offer refunds to customers who already bought the items.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said the “presence of asbestos in crayons at any level is unacceptable because asbestos is a prohibited import.”
