CALLS BY DOCTORS

Dentists and doctors across Queensland are criticising what they view as “a major public health failure”, with more than a quarter of the state currently having no access to a fluoridated water supply.

They are now calling for the government to reinstate mandatory water fluoridation requirements across the state, to stop what they say is a “risk to oral health” for Queenslanders.

More than a decade after the Newman LNP government ended mandatory fluoridation and handed decision-making to local governments, 51 out of 77 councils now do not have fluoridated water.

This includes major regional centres such as Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Mackay and Cairns.

Our piece from 2012 when it was scrapped.

The Cairns Regional Council cited one of the reasons for axing water fluoridation as “a principle of ethical public health policy that mass involuntary medication should not proceed without the express consent of the community“.

They listened to the people, while these doctors (priests) do not because ‘they know better’.

Queensland has had huge success in fighting back against this neurotoxin, but the ‘experts’ — who say fluoridation is “one of the cornerstones of modern preventive dentistry” — don’t want this to continue.

Lack of fluoridation in Queensland, they say, is now putting people ‘at risk’.

They are now calling on the government to take action and restore mandatory requirements.

Australian Dental Association of Queensland (ADAQ) spokesperson, Norah Ayad, told the ABC: “The public health system has always been a state government priority.”

“It’s … passing the buck to local councils, who neither have the resources, nor the expertise to roll out something like this at a population level.”

Note: “…nor the expertise”.

They think you are dumb and cannot make decisions for yourselves, including your local councillors.

Queensland Health Minister, Shannon Fentiman, said she wanted to see the percentage of Queenslanders in receipt of fluoridated water to “climb even higher”.

She says she is committed to working with the Water Minister Glenn Butcher, local governments, the ADAQ and the AMAQ “…to understand how we can encourage and promote the uptake of this important public health initiative”.

Fantastic..

The fight against fluoridation has recently re-emerged on many fronts, including in Western Australia — where residents who remain in the last 8% of citizens without fluoridated water — have had to fight back against plans to introduce the phosphate by-product into the system.

Now, they are targeting the home of anti-fluoridation sentiment, Queensland.

They won’t stop until everywhere is completely medicated once again, covering all of Australia.

FLUORIDE IN AUSTRALIA

This year marks the 70th anniversary of fluoride being first introduced to drinking water in Australia at Beaconsfield in Tasmania, followed three years later by Yass in NSW.

In 2023, about 90 per cent of Australians can access fluoridated water — but only 72 per cent of Queenslanders do, most of them in the state’s populated south-east corner.

Statistics show that multiple states have a fluoridation coverage of 90% or over, including ACT, Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Of course, there are many awake individuals in these regions that use water filtration systems to eliminate this compound, but the fact our taps are filled with it to this scale, is still appalling.

It is everywhere in Australia, including in baby formula food sold in supermarkets.

Fluoridation has been a divisive topic in Queensland, with critics drawing attention to studies that suggest the toxin lowers IQ of adults and children. To this end, the ABC stated this in their recent piece:

‘Queensland research?’ By who? Where?

The only research I have seen is peer-reviewed conclusions that show prenatal and early life fluoride exposures can reduce IQ and impacts the developing brains of children.

One bombshell study recently emerged during an EPA lawsuit, after being suppressed, that took a look at most of these studies in their own study, concluding many of the points were valid in the research.

In addition, extensive research over the years, including the acclaimed documentary Fire Water: Australia’s Industrial Fluoridation Disgrace, has highlighted concerns with industry practices.

Specifically, dangers associated with ingesting and absorbing fluoridated water on a regular basis.

And that’s the beginning of tap water dangers, not to mention heavy metals and other substances from pipes and PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ found across the world.

The so-called ‘experts’ calling for mandatory fluoridation to be reinstated in Queensland are only in this for their own profits and gains, and not to ‘help your oral health’.

The logic just doesn’t make sense when you think about it:

One thing is for sure: Queenslanders have put this at bay before, and I have no doubt the fight this time around would be even stronger than before.

Leave the decision in the hands of councils, voted on by the people, and keep your hands away from our water supplies, government.
