LGBT extremists normalise ‘trans kids’ at Sydney’s gay mardi gras parade
A float pushing the concept of “transgender” children and accompanied by underage marchers has been allowed to take part in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, a sexually explicit annual street festival.
A vehicle with a sign saying “the future is bright for trans kids” was driven in the parade on Saturday night by Parents for Trans Youth Equity (PTYE), who describe themselves as an advocacy group run by families with “trans and gender diverse” children.
Video of the float driving down the parade route shows attendees clapping and cheering as the group, which included several children, passed by waving placards in the shape of the sun.
The American College of Pediatricians has warned that normalising gender dysphoria in children is “dangerous and unethical” because it can lead to the sterilisation of confused minors.
“Gender dysphoria (GD) in children is a term used to describe a psychological condition in which a child experiences marked incongruence between his or her experienced gender and the gender associated with the child’s biological sex,” the College said.
“Twin studies demonstrate that GD is not an innate trait. Moreover, barring pre-pubertal affirmation and hormone intervention for GD, 80 percent to 95 percent of children with GD will accept the reality of their biological sex by late adolescence.
“The treatment of GD in childhood with hormones effectively amounts to mass experimentation on, and sterilisation of, youth who are cognitively incapable of providing informed consent.
“There is a serious ethical problem with allowing irreversible, life-changing procedures to be performed on minors who are too young to give valid consent themselves; adolescents cannot understand the magnitude of such decisions.”
Last month Liberal senator Claire Chandler told Daily Mail Australia she was worried about Australian hospitals ignoring warnings from detransitioners, doctors and psychiatrics about the youth gender medicine industry, after it was revealed that Melbourne’s Royal Children’s hospital is offering “gender affirming care” for children as young as three.
“It’s incredibly concerning that in Australia these alarms are still being ignored and children are being put on pathways towards irreversible and potentially dangerous drugs and surgeries,” she said.
Psychiatrist Dr Andrew Amos last year told The Australian that the rapid growth of gender affirming medical care was “unconscionable”, speaking out in support of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists after it declined to endorse the method in a new position statement.
“We simply don’t know how many kids change their minds,” he said.
“This is particularly damaging because medical/surgical transition require lifelong care, with potentially catastrophic effects of detransitioning later in life.”
